Yet another electric car to hit the roads, Wheego recently unveiled the LiFe. This little car works a lot like its peers, the Nissan Leaf and the Smart Electric ForTwo, using lithium ion batteries with a 100 mile range. The car touches speeds of 65 mph, enough to make it freeway-legal. With space to seat two, the first car was delivered to a Georgia couple through a Jim Ellis dealership in Atlanta. The car was rechristened the LiFe instead of Whip and derives its name from the periodic table abbreviations for lithium and iron, Li and Fe. With the chassis and the body from Shuanghuan Automobile in China, the compact electric uses a 60-horsepower electric motor and 30 kilowatt-hour lithium ion battery pack with a front wheel drive and a stereo head unit with a CD slot and USB port for your creature comfort.

Now this mightn’t be the epitome of luxury, though the car sure speaks efficiency and is a green way to travel, with an accompanying price tag of $32,995 and a Federal tax credit of $7,500.
