Charging up electric vehicles in future might just be as easy at driving up to a gas pump to fill up your old gasoline powered wreck on wheels. SunPods Inc. of San Jose, California, and Semi-Materials Inc of Seongnam City, Korea, unveiled their SunPods EV Plug-N-Go Solar Powered Electric Vehicle Charging System Station at the International Green Energy Expo Korea 2010. This is the world’s first factory-built-to-order system integrating solar energy to power up EVs. The system delivered by the factory can be put to use immediately with no on-sight assembly required.

The EV Plug-N-Go system was designed by SunPods for areas where electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids require quick and easy charging facilities, and will work great in company campuses, institutions and the like. The SunPods SP-300 EV Plug-N-Go system is designed to cope with both, on-grid and off-grid installations too and is available in different configurations to suit particular needs. No longer do you need to set out on a scavenger hunt for EV charging stations, if this concept catches on quickly.
