• Nissan partners with The New Motion, sets up home-charging stations for $1,408

  • GL3 .jpgThe New Motion and Nissan have teamed up to make the lives of Nissan leaf owners a breeze. The automaker’s zero-emissions mobility partner in Netherlands will lend a hand, installing Nissan-certified home based EV charging stations for Nissan Leaf owners for a fee of about €995 ($1,408 U.S. at the current exchange rates), including VAT. These chargers are good enough to juice up the Leaf in about 8 hours flat, making overnight-charges practical. And that’s not all. Besides installing these 16-amp chargers, The New Motion will also allow Leaf owners to use quick-charge stations that will soon show up around the country.

All this makes the idea of owning an electric-car a lot easier, and on a larger scale, could change the very way we travel, forever.
